Small OOC stuff can go in the scene threads, but longer stuff should go here for the sake of readability.

I love what Cyan did with the avatar for the board: It's their character!

Righty I'm doing something a little special with the faraday cage. It'll take a lil bit but I'll put something up soon.

Very exciting and also a quick question, how are we handling inter party conversations since we might come to one very soon...

It's not quite as extravagant as I wanted, was hoping to get some visuals done but my computer started chugging and I realized it was morning so I stopped. But if you've got your HAM radio manual to hand you too can follow along as Hija tries to get a message to Alberto through the Faraday cage. While I'm not proceeding with visual stuff at the moment I have got some plans for the future so be warned. Also if you actually manage to work out what Alberto said in text you're a wizard and need to be burned.
As for inter-party conversations I've always tended to have a back and forth in the in character topic. It usually means smaller posts between those involved until the conversation is over. I have had on some occasions separate forum topics for specific conversations, because I ramble with the best of them, so the action train keeps on rolling and I have seen some places that reserve a post for their conversation have a back and forth in PMs then whoever reserved the post puts the entire convo in that singular post. I'm happy with whatever is easiest.

Just do the dialogue in the in character post. Some continuity my get a bit jumbled due to the a-synchronous nature of play by forum. If so, I'll just go back and retcon as necessary to get continuity.

This is really weird - I just read an article three days ago on acoustic hacking!

The first plot point spent and it blows up in my face. This bodes well.

Its usually best to get the bad rolls out of the way before combat starts, maybe its a good thing!
Edit: One more thing I'm not too sure about - I started my narration by rolling a perception check, the results of which (I would assume) would affect what I do in the same narration.. for situations like that would it be best to not really do much for the first post rather than make the perception roll, and wait for the result before typing out the characters actions?

Hey qunzk, couple of things. first you perception is correct. Its a pool of your Logic and Willpower, for Snitch that would be 3 LOG + 3 WIL = 6, then it adds your quality of + 2 for a total of 8.
As for waiting on the results, which is something I need to work on myself, you could do what you said, but the waiting on the results will only be as long as it takes for you to think them up. Anarchy seems to roll that way, the paragraph on Perception even says, "rather than simply tell the character what they see, give the player a chance to detail what it is they discover," I'm sure if there was anything specific or important the GM wants to add he'll just go on the "Yes, and" principle and build on what you said. Plus you can always go back and edit stuff.
Anyway something unrelated I need to give Hija a free melee weapon, managed to miss that in character creation.

That makes sense! So in this case as I didn't roll particularly high with only 2 hits, I probably wouldn't have found a plot hook which I could use in my narration, but if I rolled 4 hits I could write in that he had seen for example, an open ventilation grate above a second floor fire escape? Coming from games that have a much stricter GM/Player division makes me worried that I'm going to do too much, but its something you get used to I suppose

Back from stomach flu! Blech. > Coming from games that have a much stricter GM/Player division makes me worried that I'm going to do too much, but its something you get used to I suppose We'll find a balance. I am perfectly willing to go back and edit any PC created content if it completely knocks things off the rails.

Praise the return of the GM! For we are lost without his guidance!

Ouch, one success on Tasking. I'm not going to have any resources by the time we actually get to the plot!

I think you were mistaken cyan, the ikon was meant to be a better commlink disguised as a lesser kings cross.(never Mind!)
on a separate note, what would the roll be to read someone, like to see if they're bluffing/scared/not giving the full story etc?
